Our client, a leading company in Sligo, is seeking to recruit an Accountants on initial 9-12 month contracts. Primary Function The Accountant is responsible for consulting any SOP’s for any job task he/she may carry out and ensure they fully understand and adhere to the SOP's. It is important that GMP is a main priority in any operation carried out in this job function. Ensure accounting practices are in compliance with regulatory policies. Assess information within the Finance Department and outside of finance and identify opportunities for Plant improvements. Proactive management and processing of all payroll, labour hours and headcount related activities for the site. Complete relevant Revenue/CSO returns . Ensure month end reporting is carried out efficiently and in line with agreed timetable. Management of fixed assets including but not limited to tracking, reporting and controlling. Review RCEs and report on a monthly basis. Monitor as per budget. Review, monitor and report Project Expense on a monthly basis. Management of Physical Inventory process for fixed assets. Management of budgets, variance analysis. Assist Controller in Plan/LBE preparation including but not limited to responsibility for population and submission of Balance sheet reports to corporate and data analysis of all areas v Prior year and Prior LBE. Education Required: Professional qualification or part qualification in accountancy or degree in accounting. Knowledge: Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. 1 to 2 years' experience in manufacturing industry. Good analytical and problem solving skills required.
