Our client is seeking a hire a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their state-of the art manufacturing facility in the Sligo area. The Mechanical Design Engineer will design and develop advanced automation solutions. They will do this by working with cross functional engineering teams, designing and developing the mechanical elements in pioneering automation machines. Responsibilities: Contribute to the execution, delivery & communication of allocated projects, reporting back on project progress (technical issues / project updates) to your lead as required. Contribute to all stages of the project from proposal, through execution, delivery and review when required. Design and development of equipment to meet customer requirements. Carry out engineering calculations and component specification where required. Participate in Design Reviews both internally and with Customers. Work to the project plan and schedule as determined by the design lead. Work closely with cross-departmental project team. Ensure project requirements are understood. Plan project tasks for yourself and ensure completion within the projects. Comply with all relevant quality standards (Revision Control, Documentation, procedures etc.) Present your designs at design reviews with clear and effective communication. Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline. 2 years experience. Customer focused & self-motivated. Ability to make responsible & effective decisions.
