Strandvaus offers a comprehensive temperature-controlled logistics service to all industries in the supply chain sector throughout the Island of Ireland. Strandvaus is currently inviting applications for an experienced Financial Controller to join the team to drive the financial strategy of the business. This vacancy is a full-time position, based from the Company’s Head Office in Sligo. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will have the responsibility for all accounting and financial controls within the company. The key responsibilities for this role include: • Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts to Directors. • Oversee annual Statutory Audits. • Cash flow management. • Budgeting and Forecasting. • Tracking and reporting KPI’s to the Senior Management Team. • Liaising with all external stakeholder including banks, customers, suppliers etc. • Responsibility for supporting staff within the Accounts Department. • Flexibility to assist in other departments when required and provide Finance support on all projects. • Authorisation of Bank Payments. • Maintaining Fixed Asset Registrar. • Assist with weekly wage preparation. • Contribute to the company's business planning and monitor through on-going reporting, analysis and discussion of relevant information. • Review and improve processes to drive efficiencies and automation where possible. • PO system: drive further utilisation, replicate authorisation levels according to policy updates. The successful candidate will have all or most of the following: • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 4+ years post qualification experience. • The ideal candidate will be highly numeric & analytical. • Previous experience of forecasting and budget setting. • A strong systems orientation including advanced Excel skills and Systems skills. • Advanced Excel and strong organisation skills. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to manage a varied workload and to work to deadlines. • Be interested in working in a fast paced, client facing commercial role. • Previous experience working within the Logistics, FMCG/Retail or Food Production industry will be of distinct advantage.
