What you need to know. You will work as an Assistant Accountant for our client, a highly successful and well-established manufacturing company in Co. Mayo . As the Assistant Accounta nt, you will be responsible for payroll, debtors, creditors, bank rec’s, intercompany analysis and month-end journal entries. You will report into the Assistant Finance Manager . This is a permanent job. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Responsible for weekly & monthly payroll processing. Bank Reconciliation. Accruals & prepayments. Daily Group Treasury reporting. Complete VAT/CSO returns and EC reporting. Prepare and input monthly journals. Intercompany analysis. Assist with annual audit planning and preparation. Contribute in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Provide support with month end reporting. Lead and participate in company projects and attend meetings as required. Assist the Finance team with ad hoc projects. What are we looking for? Third level degree or part-qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA. At least 3-4 years’ experience working in a similar role within a finance team. Ability to demonstrate monthly account preparation to trial balance. Proficient in MS Office and working knowledge of ERP system. Ability to prioritise and multitask.
