My client, a well-known organisation in the west of Ireland is seeking a new manager, to take responsibility for the running of their residential home, supporting young people aged 8-18, who would come from vulnerable backgrounds and would require a high level of care, support and direction. The manager will ensure each young person is provided with a safe and nurturing environment and that their needs are fully met and respected. The manager will also provide leadership, motivation and support to the team, ensuring optimum service delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social care professional to take the next step in their career. Requirements: Minimum level 7 (NFQ) in Social Care or Applied Social Studies in Social Care. Or. National Diploma in Applied Social Studies (Disabilities)- The Open Training College. Minimum 5 years experience, working with young people in a residential setting. Experience in a supervisory/ management role. Strong working knowledge of Childrens First, HIQA and all other legislations relevant to young people in care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Excellent report writing skills, with strong attention to detail and computer literate. Full, clean drivers license.
