Job Title: Commercial Manager. Reports to: Sales & Marketing Lead. Responsible for: Team of Sales Executives. Location: Sligo. Remuneration: €50,000. Key Accountabilities: Managing key accounts across Grocery Multiples and Food Service Sector. Owning the customer relationships, making sure you understand the brand and goals whilst working collaboratively with retailers to deliver against their needs. Designing, implementing and evolving the customer market plans and strategies to grow sales from price and promotions, range, placement, in-store execution, shopper marketing and category recommendations, innovation launches. Owning customer P&L’s and delivering against financial targets. Helping improve existing internal processes, optimising current processes and helping to design new processes as they grow, e.g. forecasting, reporting, annual planning, strategy development. Growing distribution across existing accounts and winning new business. Implementation of the company's business development strategy through identifying new business opportunities, working with internal teams to secure these opportunities and contribute to their long-term, profitable association with the Company. Target and secure new prospects by identifying suitable opportunities and key decision makers, establishing their needs and aligning these with Good4U’s offering. Establish the most suitable internal team to develop a winning proposition for the client, and coordinate and contribute to the development of the ongoing sales plan, ensuring deadlines are met and the process is well managed. Through the implementation phase and ongoing, maintain suitable contact with customers to be able to effectively assess the quality of service delivery; where issues are identified ensure that these are referred to the Procurement team for resolution. Develop strategies to maximise cross-sell and up-sell business opportunities. Essential Requirements. Passion for selling – tough negotiation skills, passion and enthusiasm for the brand and able to build long-lasting, strong relationships with customers. Ambitious and hungry to deliver growth as they plan to scale the business significantly over the next few years. Analytical, good with numbers – solid P&L understanding, strong commercial acumen and able to focus on maintaining profitability as well as driving the top line. Ability to use and interpret data to drive insight and action. Strategic thinking – being able to stand back and take a helicopter view of the commercial strategy. As well as managing the day-to day, a more holistic strategic view needs to be considered to ensure they are taking the brand in the right direction to grow quickly and sustainably. Industry & Category Knowledge – as well as driving sales, you will be leading the category understanding, developing the strategy and inputting into the innovation pipeline. Build on market expertise and knowledge and ability to understand and interpret category data. Self-starter – pro-active, able to juggle many balls and not afraid to challenge the status quo. This role will involve managing multiple customers so we need someone who is great at time management, juggling conflicting priorities and getting work done efficiently and effectively. Demonstrable understanding of how the food and drink industry operates. Empathetic and consultative approach to understanding customers' needs and presenting suitable solutions. Ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders and build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation. Credible business acumen and a hunger for seeking new prospects.
