Engineering Lead (Biologics) – Sligo. I’m actively sourcing an Engineering Lead in Sligo. We require a high calibre Engineer with a minimum of 3 years management experience to lead a team in conjugation and fill finish at a new Biologics manufacturing site. As Engineering Lead, you will have the opportunity to drive major projects and programs, drive cost savings, process and yield improvement projects to build operational excellence, manage the engineering change management function to ensure overall cGMP compliance, develop user requirements, functional and design specification for procurement, design, qualification of new processing equipment and automation system as required and provide SME engineering support for equipment trouble shooting, deviation investigations and product impact assessments. This is a key role for the site and the new Engineering Lead will have primary responsibility around setting up engineering department schedules, leading all new equipment procurement and acceptance tests and supporting tech transfers for new products. You will be build and maintain relationships with external vendors/suppliers, lead complex projects and investigations, and manage all departmental engineering capital and expense budgets. We require a minimum of a level 8 Engineering Degree as well as previous biologics manufacturing exposure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with isolators, vial / syringe filling or lyophilisation / freeze drying in fill finish, sterile environment. You should have close on 10 years relevant experience.
