IT Officer | Contract| Sligo. My client, based in Sligo, is looking to recruit an experienced IT Officer to take responsibility for the entire IT function for the organisation. Responsibilities: Oversee all technology operations for e.g. network security. Ensure the IT systems are compliant with relevant laws and regulations. Analyse business requirements and determine technology needs. Manage annual IT budget. Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software. Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency. Management of 3rd party IT suppliers. Requirement: 3+ years’ Experience as an IT Officer or in a similar role. BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience. Experience in evaluation and implementation of IT systems. Experience in IT Infrastructure (hardware/software), networks etc. Experience with Information Security. Working knowledge of IT Risk and Change Management in accordance with ITIL best practices.
