Continuous Improvement Manager required for leading multinational pharmaceutical company in Sligo. This is a great role for someone who would like to drive lean and continuous improvement across the site. Job Purpose: • Leading day to day deployment of Continuous Improvement framework as well as all related improvement activities at site level (business impact on safety, quality, cost, people and innovation. • Provide leadership and hands on help to Continuous Improvement change agents across the site, with responsibility for building the capability within the change agent team. • Facilitates and provides strong hands on help with Kaizens, continuous improvement initiatives and structured problem solving activities that strive to eliminate waste in work processes and take ownership for delivering results and a change in culture. • Help drive TPM rollout in Operations. • Working on developing the Continuous Improvement framework plan in line with Company Strategy and execute this plan while providing regular progress updates. Key Responsibilities: • Leading day to day deployment of Continuous Improvement framework as well as all related improvement activities at site level (business impact on safety, quality, cost, people and innovation. • Provide leadership and hands on help to Continuous Improvement change agents across the site, with responsibility for building the capability within the change agent team. • Facilitates and provides strong hands on help with Kaizens, continuous improvement initiatives and structured problem solving activities that strive to eliminate waste in work processes and take ownership for delivering results and a change in culture. • Define problems, collect and analyse data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. • Help drive TPM rollout in Operations. • Working on developing the Continuous Improvement framework plan in line with Company Strategy and execute this plan while providing regular progress updates. • Supporting Site Management in identification and calculation of both financial and non-financial benefits associated with improvement ideas. • Ensure effective Site Continuous Improvement governance is in place while liaising with central Continuous Improvement team providing updates on site initiatives. • Self-assess the site Continuous Improvement maturity level against the company standard. • Implement an agreed capability plan.  Deliver required training on use of CI tools.  Support continuous capability development of self and other Continuous Improvement change agents based at the site, using on the job coaching & mentoring along with training. • Liaise with the site’s business/team leaders to understand the business goals and objectives and ensure that Continuous Improvement activities are focused on supporting delivery of these goals in a timely and cost effective manner. • Benchmarking the Site performance against other sites / companies. Basic Experience: • Worked in a fast pace manufacturing / packaging environment (e.g. Pharma, Consumer Health, FMCG), covering a broad range of activities and operations. • Demonstrated significant leadership of improvement initiatives and/or culture change year on year resulting in both financial and non financial benefit, and behavioural change. Preferred Experience: • 5 years Experience working with Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, TPM, World Class Manufacturing) Master Black Belt / Black Belt / Green belt level of understanding of Lean/Sigma. • Experience in working with TPM (in particular AM, PM and Focused Improvements. • Diagnosis of complex performance issues and problem solving in the context of site goals. • Experience in working on Operational efficiency improvements (OEE. • People change management concepts and practice. • Hands-on training experience and skills. • Strong coaching experience and skills. • Project planning and execution management.
