Our Client in the West of Ireland region is a leading provider of innovative and advanced electronic components and solutions for a wild variety of industries, including the automotive, aerospace, medical and consumer products industries. They are currently seeking a Delta V Automation Engineer for a permanent position. This promises to be an exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate with the right experience. Responsibilities. Apply automation experience to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, and/or machines. Perform process design and development in such areas as mechanical, electrical, thermal, pneumatic, hydraulic, or heat transfer for production. Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Us modular approach to equipment design. Complete understanding and application of Engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Work is performed under general direction. Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Oversees and/or provides direction to other Engineering Peers and Technicians. Reading mechanical and electrical schematics. Design using CAD (preferably SolidWorks. Hands-on experience with complex electro manufacturing equipment and process debug. Identify most appropriate options for implementing equipment to meet performance, cost, and time requirements (e.g. off-the-shelf vs. custom equipment. Execute (or oversee supplier execution of) equipment development. Execute (or oversee execution of) equipment software validation. Build, debug, install, and otherwise deliver equipment to support Exploratory, TDP and PDP lifecycles. Maintain an awareness of resources and specific equipment available at other divisions as well as outside equipment suppliers. Manage relationships with outside equipment suppliers. Ensure conformance to Equipment [amp;] Automated Systems procedure, and is responsible for production of all deliverables including specifications, design reviews, design execution documentation (e.g. machine drawings), test plans, calibration and maintenance procedures, and installation qualifications. Requirements. Dergree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 3+ years industry experience. Hands-on approach to problem solving and Troubleshooting. Strong demonstrated experience in Innovative Design Principles. Strong demonstrated Electro/mechanical aptitude. SolidWorks design experience. Experience in Automation Technologies (Robotics, PLC, Vision, Motion, Sensing. Equipment Design, Building & Machining; Equipment Maintenance; Tools (2D & 3D CAD modelling SolidWorks)). Validation documentation and validation testing experience advantageous. Medical Device or regulated industry preferred. Quality System Requirements. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
